- Sniper,
- That's not an RPG. That's a graphic adventure.
- I'm working on that kind of editor. But, the Interface will be the
- 'old-school' typing in the verb + noun. I'm not to fond of
- these 'dumbed-down' interfaces of today. There's not
- much thought required when everything is spelled out for ya.
- It's more Kings Quest-like rather than Monkey Island.
- I can't remember, but I think I might've sent you an iff pic
- of one of my screens way back when in '97. I wouldn't mind
- getting the support of you & your connections, but the game
- would have to be what I have in mind. I have an original storyline
- sketched out. As far as the editor goes, I can take any iff pic
- and turn it into an active game screen: Multiple background &
- foreground objects of varying sizes: rocks, trees, shrubs, buildings,
- etc,
- a joystick controlled character that walks around the objects, &
- collision detection. Screens that have water: multiple walking depths,
- (haven't completed the swimming animations or code yet).
- Oh..just 1 screen specification: 32-colors, 320x200, can't use
- the last 10 color registers (22-31), so your actually lookin at a
- 22 color screen, which doesn't look too shabby. You can send me
- a full 32-colr screen, Digi-View 4.0 can re-draw the screen with user-
- defined number of colors. Your call, dude.
- Thanks,
- Ken
